In February 2019, Capcom pushed to all platforms. This update fundamentally changed how the Vita loaded text strings. It encrypted the lang_ja files using a new RSA key. The existing English patch (v0.95) relied on decrypting the old file structure. In the data hoarding community, the "MHF-Z PS Vita English Patch v0.95 (Pre-v9.00)" still exists on archive.org and certain Russian forums. You can download the 247MB patch file. You can install it on a hacked Vita. And you can launch the Japanese game client... only for it to fail at the server login screen. It is a dead end

This is the ultimate "patch." You cannot patch a corpse. The PS Vita version requires a constant handshake with Capcom’s authentication servers.
